Dear Classmates:

We are less than a month away from reuniting once again and reminiscing about those wonderful days at The American School. I would like to share the following news with you, as it relates to our upcoming reunion:

• HOTEL UPDATE:  The Signature Hotel has extended our special hotel rates until April 30th, 2012.

• DRESS CODE: Some classmates have asked about about the dress code. The dress code is casual!!, Vegas style. As we get closer to the date, i encourage you to check the weather. The reunion night may be a bit cool in the evening, but cannot say for sure. Wear whatever you want!!!

• PHOTOGRAPHER: I have hired a professional photographer for Saturday night from 7:00PM to 10:00PM to photograph our event. The way this will work is, after the event you will be able to access her website and purchase the photos you want on a package deal. These prices will be announced when you arrive in Vegas. 

          This does NOT mean you cannot bring your own camera. In fact, i would encourage you to do so.

• VEGAS SHOWGIRLS: I have hired (2) professional Las Vegas showgirls for Saturday night for one hour that will greet you as you come through The Brooklyn Bridge. They will be dressed professionally in their own ornate, pink feathery headdress outfits just like you would see them at a show. Again, it behooves you to get there on time and bring your camera.

• T-SHIRTS:  I have ordered special T-Shirts with our "Come Together" logo that will be given to you along with a special party favor commemorating the event. These are FREE!!
  

• Beatles LOVE: We are currently (28) paid, with another (3) that have asked me to get tickets. I am going to purchase another (12) tickets so we have extras for those who invariably decide at the last minute.
  

• Table Centerpieces:  I am having custom made centerpieces that will display all the graduates names and some photos, along with the announcement of the special reunion occasion. Additionally, each table will have (1) Lava Lamp as a groovy symbolism that should remind you of that era. You are welcome to take these with you when we conclude the evening.

 Musician Added: I am pleased to announce that Michael Love and his wife Tina will also be joining us from the Class of 1974. He will also be performing on keyboards along with Fritz Heede. Tina Love will be filming the jam session in high definition, which will be posted to Youtube.  Michael Love attended the American School and went on to Lomas High. A gifted musician and script writer, he was nominated for an Oscar for the script writing for "Gabby "and is currently working for the Carlos Slims' organization in releasing an epic movie  starring Andy Garcia, Peter O'Toole and Eva Langoria under www.cristiadapelicula or www.cristiadamovie.com . My understanding is that the film was just released in Mexico.  Michael's sister is Betsy Love.

The latest "Attending for sure" count is at  (48). I really hope to exceed that initial goal of (50) and ask that you reach out to others to encourage them to attend. Also, thank you to all that have decided to attend the reunion and help make this a special weekend.
